Tsanko Tsankov visited the office of Telematic Interactive Bulgaria after his success at Molokai

Tsanko Tsankov, the Bulgarian swimmer, and his manager, Niki Iliev, visited the office of Telematic Interactive Bulgaria to express gratitude for the company’s support following his swim across Molokai. The meeting took place in an informal setting, as the teams of Telematic Interactive and Sport in Bulgaria Foundation, which also supports the swimmer, had the opportunity to ask questions, take pictures with him and wish him success in his future challenges.

During the visit, Tsankov talked about his extraordinary achievement – swimming the distance between the islands of Molokai and Oahu in the Pacific Ocean, one of the longest and most difficult open water races. He shared his impressions of the difficulties during the marathon, including encounters with jellyfish, low temperatures and challenging weather conditions.

“These waters are home to some of the most dangerous predators – the cookiecutter shark. For protection, I wore a special bracelet that emits magnetic waves that repel sea creatures. But against the great white shark, which is also found there, this defence is powerless. It attacks with incredible speed and does not react to the magnetic waves at all,” Tsankov said.

With this incredible achievement, Tsanko Tsankov once again demonstrated his determination and dedication to the sport, managing to inspire all present with his story and his desire to continue setting new records in open water.
